Computer Technology Competency
Incoming students at UConn are expected to demonstrate competency in Computer Technology. This is achieved by passing the Overall Assessment found in the General Education - Computer Technology Competency section found on the HuskyCT site.
Students are invited to obtain help from the LRC to pass these competency examinations. This can be done through one-on-one help by visiting the LRC, or by signing up for a Group Workshop.
An online tutorial has also been created to help students in getting to the CTC.

Entry Expectations
Students are expected to have a cursory knowledge of computing in the following areas:- Computer Operation
- Word Processing
- Presentation Software
- Spreadsheets
- Databases
- Graphics and Multimedia
- Internet Utilities
- Electronic Communication
